The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has said the oxygen station at the al-Quds Field Hospital in the Tal al-Hawa area of Gaza City has stopped operating after coming under fire by Israeli forces.
The group said medics were now relying on pre-filled oxygen cylinders that are only sufficient for three days.
It said Israeli soldiers remained stationed at the southern gate of the hospital, preventing entry and exit.

I want to start with a preview of President Trump's very busy schedule for the week. Later this afternoon, the president will be making a major announcement focused on the childhood autism epidemic alongside his top health advisers who are working to make America healthy again. This will be a powerful display of how the entire Trump administration is committed to addressing root causes of chronic conditions and diseases, embracing full transparency in government, and championing gold standard science.
Tonight the president will depart to New York City ahead of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. He will be joined in New York City by the First Lady tomorrow morning. Trump will deliver a major speech touting the renewal of American strength around the world, his historic accomplishments in just 8 months, including the ending of 7 global wars and conflicts.
The president will also touch upon how globalist institutions have significantly decayed the world order, and he will articulate his straightforward and constructive vision for the world. The president will also be hosting bilateral meetings with the UN Secretary General and the leaders of Ukraine, Argentina, and the European Union.
The president will also later in the day hold a multilateral meeting with Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, the UAE, and Jordan. After these important meetings, the president will attend a reception tomorrow night with more than 100 world leaders before returning to Washington DC on Thursday here at the White House, President Trump will welcome President Erdogan of Turkey for a bilateral meeting, and on Friday, the president will travel to Long Island for the Ryder Cup golf match between the United States and Europe.
This event is one of the greatest sporting events in the world, and it would not be taking place this year without President Trump's help. President Trump signed an executive order last week preventing a strike that would have crippled the New York City area ahead of the tournament and at the request of the five labor unions who all represent workers on the Long Island Railroad. One of the greatest golfers in the world, Bryson DeShambo, praised the president's critical intervention, saying, quote, when the possibility of a strike threatened to disrupt transportation and attendance, President Trump stepped up and took the action needed to protect this world class competition.

As of the end of August, the whereabouts of two-thirds of more than 1,800 men detained at Alligator Alcatraz during the month of July could not be determined by the Miami Herald. The Herald had obtained the names from two detainee rosters. Around 800 detainees showed no record on ICE’s online database. More than 450 listed no location and only instructed the user to “Call ICE for details”—a vague notation that attorneys said could mean that a detainee is still being processed, in the middle of a transfer between two sites or about to be deported.
Some Alligator Alcatraz detainees who couldn’t be located in the ICE database might have been deported—even though the internal data obtained by the Herald show the vast majority of detainees didn’t have final orders of removal from a judge before entering the facility. Some of those deportations occurred as a result of detainees deciding to abandon their ongoing immigration cases to put an end to their detention at the facility and its harsh conditions, which included being held in chain-link cages in tents with little protection from the elements. “It became a game of chicken to see who’s going to blink first, to see if the client’s going to say ‘I don’t want to be detained in these conditions just send me back,’ ” said Miami immigration attorney Alex Solomiany.

🎥 Gaza fuel crisis forces residents to turn to toxic alternatives
Al Jazeera English | Sep 23, 2025
Gaza is in the grip of a fuel crisis driven by Israel's blockade. The shortage has left many Palestinians unable to use their vehicles - forcing them to flee on foot, over long distances. Now some are seeking alternatives. But that involves burning plastics and creating toxic fumes.

A new study published in Science finds that false news online travels “farther, faster, deeper, and more broadly than the truth.” And the effect is more pronounced for false political news than for false news about terrorism, natural disasters, science, urban legends, or financial information.
Falsehoods are 70 percent more likely to be retweeted on Twitter than the truth, researchers found. And false news reached 1,500 people about six times faster than the truth.
The study, by Soroush Vosoughi and associate professor Deb Roy, both of the MIT Media Lab, and MIT Sloan professor Sinan Aral, is the largest-ever longitudinal study of the spread of false news online. It uses the term “false news” instead of “fake news” because the latter “has lost all connection to the actual veracity of the information presented, rendering it meaningless for use in academic classification,” the authors write.
To track the spread of news, the researchers investigated all the true and false news stories verified by six independent fact-checking organizations that were distributed on Twitter from 2006 to 2017.

I love this, Najwan:
Exhale..
empires fall,
Inhale..
#PalestineWillBeFree
We've descended into barbarity, and scrambling to get out of this place.
Gaza is unimaginable, and we who are witnessing it are feeling the moral injury of what our so-called leaders are supporting.
Be well, Najwan. I hope you're enjoying time with your brother.
Take good care.
