ON THE U.S.-INDIA AI OPPORTUNITY PARTNERSHIP
A BILATERAL ADDENDUM TO THE PAX SILICA DECLARATION
The Governments of the United States of America and the Republic of India today acknowledge a shared vision for their innovation ecosystems, highlighting the relevance of the Pax Silica Declaration’s principles to the U.S.-India Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and India-U.S. COMPACT (Catalyzing Opportunities for Military Partnership and Accelerated Commerce and Technology) for the 21st century.
Recognizing that the 21st century is likely to be defined by the physical backbone for artificial intelligence—from critical minerals and energy to compute and semiconductor manufacturing—the two sides share the view that the future of AI should be built on a foundation of trusted collaboration, economic security, and free enterprise.
Embracing the AI Opportunity
Echoing the vision outlined by President Trump and Prime Minister Modi under the Transforming the Relationship Utilizing Strategic Technologies initiative (TRUST), both sides express their desire to move beyond the paralysis of fear in favor of the dynamism of AI opportunity to promote innovation and to deploy it for human prosperity. The two sides share the belief that a significant risk facing the free world is not the advancement of AI, but the failure to lead it.
In this context, the two sides convey their intention to pursue a global approach to AI that is unapologetically friendly to entrepreneurship and innovation, and have identified the following shared priorities:

Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump congratulated the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a vital step forward in implementing Phase Two of his Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict—a 20-point roadmap for lasting peace, stability, reconstruction, and prosperity in the region.
The NCAG will be led by Dr. Ali Sha’ath, a widely respected technocratic leader who will oversee the restoration of core public services, the rebuilding of civil institutions, and the stabilization of daily life in Gaza, while laying the foundation for long-term, self-sustaining governance. Dr. Sha’ath brings deep experience in public administration, economic development, and international engagement, and is widely respected for his pragmatic, technocratic leadership and understanding of Gaza’s institutional realities.
This milestone perfectly aligns with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025), which endorsed President Trump’s Comprehensive Plan and welcomed the establishment of the Board of Peace. The Board of Peace will play an essential role in fulfilling all 20 points of the President’s plan, providing strategic oversight, mobilizing international resources, and ensuring accountability as Gaza transitions from conflict to peace and development.
To operationalize the Board of Peace’s vision—under the chairmanship of President Donald J. Trump—a founding Executive Board has been formed, composed of leaders with experience across diplomacy, development, infrastructure, and economic strategy. The appointed members are:
Secretary Marco Rubio
Steve Witkoff
Jared Kushner
Sir Tony Blair
Marc Rowan
Ajay Banga
Robert Gabriel
Each Executive Board member will oversee a defined portfolio critical to Gaza’s stabilization and long-term success, including, but not limited to, governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilization.

FIFA and the Board of Peace (BoP) have signed a landmark partnership agreement to actively source investment from international leaders and institutions harnessing the power of football to support recovery, stability and long-term development in conflict-affected regions.
The agreement, signed by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Gaza Executive Board of Peace member Yakir Gabay, High Representative for Gaza H.E. Nickolay Mladenov, and Chief Commissioner of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza Dr Ali Shaath, establishes a long-term framework to build a complete football ecosystem, delivering world-class infrastructure, structured community programmes and sustainable economic opportunity to Gaza, Palestine.
The BoP, unveiled by US President Trump at the World Economic Forum in January 2026, brings together international leaders and institutions committed to advancing reconstruction and stability in fragile regions. Initially focused on Gaza, the BoP coordinates humanitarian assistance, rebuilding efforts and long-term stabilisation.
“Today, FIFA and the Board of Peace have signed a landmark partnership agreement that will foster investment into football for the purpose of helping the recovery process in post conflict areas,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino following the signature ceremony which was held at the Donald J. Trump US Institute of Peace Headquarters.

Like all Palestinians in Jerusalem, Ahmad was looking forward to seeing the city’s alleyways clothed in Ramadan lights, decorations and cheer.
Ramadan in Jerusalem is “otherworldly”, he says.
However, this year the walls of the Old City are empty and festivities are strikingly muted. Israel has banned Ramadan decorations and restricted various other traditional ways of celebrating the Islamic holy month.
Palestinians even struggle to access Al-Aqsa Mosque to pray, while Israeli settlers are able to storm the site and perform their own prayers for longer than previously allowed.
“I am always waiting for Ramadan to come so that I can see the decorations as well as the joy and excitement of others,” Ahmad tells Middle East Eye.
But Israeli forces are “causing fears among residents”, says Ahmad, who uses a pseudonym for security reasons.
Most Palestinians MEE approached to speak about the Israeli suppression of Ramadan celebrations refused to speak at all, fearing reprisal.
Ahmad said despite the Israeli restrictions, the atmosphere is beautiful.
“While the mood is calm at the moment, it is unfortunate that there are no decorations to welcome Ramadan and celebrate Ramadan like we are used to every year,” he said.

An El Al flight from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv departed without 140 passengers’ suitcases this week after “Free Palestine” stickers were found attached to checked luggage, triggering security concerns and a lengthy delay.
The incident occurred on a scheduled afternoon service from Los Angeles, which was eventually delayed by nearly two hours after airline staff removed the affected bags from the aircraft for inspection.
According to passengers, the flight had been due to depart at 2pm but was first delayed by 25 minutes before crew announced a more serious issue involving luggage. The aircraft eventually took off at around 3.45pm.
One passenger described confusion and growing frustration on board as the delay stretched on. “It was a regular El Al flight on a Monday afternoon from Los Angeles, full of Israelis who had gone to the All-Star to see Deni Avdija and were heading home,” the passenger said. “We checked our suitcases as usual and were supposed to take off at 2pm. At first, they said there would be a 25-minute delay, then they said there was a bigger delay because of an issue with luggage. Only around a quarter to four did we take off.”
Travellers said the captain and head purser later explained that 140 suitcases had been removed after “Free Palestine” stickers were discovered on them. Each bag was required to undergo individual security screening to rule out the presence of explosives.
Fuck all of this.

I'm sure the people comprising TRUST don't trust each other at all. Another BS organization that sounds good, like the Board of Peace. What peace? When the IDF are still killing people in Palestine there's no peace.
How sad that Ramadan can't be celebrated in the usual way in Palestine. The whole thing is tragic, and shouldn't be happening.
Najwan, my heart aches and breaks, and I wish we collectively knew what to do and how to stop Israel and its backers.
Take good care, my friend. Wishing you a restful Sunday.

Thank you for digging through the effluvia to expose the Trojan Horse of bureaucracy and the cynical derivation of credibility using the language of orderly process while sleazing around behind a devious charade. An acronym like 'TRUST' says everything. No sense of irony there.
