I imagine by now youโre all well aware and informed that Israel ๐ฎ๐ฑ barbecued some of us ๐ต๐ธ last night.
They were, as always, mostly women and children.
Always just ever, women and children.
Last nightโs horror and our prolonged plight, has and continues to be voguishly described as Hell on Earth.
Put that on a fridge magnet why donโt yaโฆ

I guess you only ever wished to exterminate us, so mabrook, youโre definitely on your way to that conclusionโฆ
Forced to watch and listen,
True white yankee fascist fashion,
Obtuse, mindless, evil expression,
Reverberate global fiber-rich,
Networks of amused decay..
I sincerely hope you noted the non-sequential order and consequence of our dead babies and children. I surely have ๐
And yet each day we force ahead,
Some so valiant in those steps,
Conjured courage from such depths,
Profound, inspiring, but mortal still,
Sami Shehada, God bless you,
And everyone, just like you,
I see the weakness that I am,
Merely cry and type away,
Hope and pray I dent but one,
Cold, uncaring, untaught heart
We live in one world...
Why canโt you see?
Weโre more than just neighbors on a globe?
And if you must insist, that they cannot exist,
Then I no longer wish, to play along in script ๐
Al Jazeera | Studio B Unscripted | Art, Violence and Resistance: Raoul Peck and Viet Thanh Nguyen | May 27 2024
In this episode, Peck and Nguyen discuss their political coming of age, what Gaza tells us about the world today, and how they use their work to challenge and unsettle.
Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck highlights the roots of violence and inequality today. He is best known for his Oscar-nominated documentary โ I Am Not Your Negro about civil rights icon James Baldwin โ and racism in the United States, and for his Peabody-winning Exterminate All the Brutes, a sweeping indictment of colonialism and genocide.
Viet Thanh Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American professor and author whose spy novel The Sympathizer won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction and was recently made into an HBO series. In his fiction and non-fiction books, he investigates his own refugee journey, the politics of memory and the effects of US wars abroad.
I genuinely only have tears.. I canโt stomach this world and am not even in that living Hell. Am so far away, so comfortable and safe, but I swear to you, I die a little more each day, each time they die like that, made to suffer like that..
Thank you for sharing this dear Najwan, I have been to this burned place myself to help in rescue operations and I can confirm with authority that severity of the burns victims endured is beyond anything I have ever seen or dealt with throughout my entire existence in dealing with injuries in different war zones around the world. This is beyond war crime.
