Don’t despair..
Palestinian,
at very best,
you know, we know,
what that shit means..
Israeli attacks have killed more than 40,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in the 320 days since October 7.
This includes almost 17,000 children. That’s 2.6 percent of all children in Gaza who are now dead.

🎥 How much worse is the humanitarian crisis becoming in Gaza? | Inside Story
Al Jazeera English | Aug 27, 2024
“When I, in the medical term, speak about evacuation, we try to get some people from place A to B, to protect them from an avalanche or from some flooding or anything. That's evacuation. This what's happening now is forceful, illegal displacement of large civilian populations, which is a form of collective punishment.
Has nothing to do with the security of these civilians. So I think the language by itself is unintentionally indicating that this is some goodwill, but it is not. It is chasing people from place to place, losing their access to water, losing their access to that little shelter they might have in a tent or in an apartment.
And also, of course, scaring to death the children and the elders who don't understand why this chase is going on. I tell you what, animals in Europe have better protection during the Animal Welfare Protection Acts than people, humans in Gaza have under the Israeli regime. It is horrible, and we have been shouting about this for 10 months now, and it keeps going on.”
🔖 Humanitarian Situation Update #209 | Gaza Strip | Aug 26, 2024
Between 19 and 24 August, five new evacuation orders have been issued by the Israeli military – the largest number of orders in a single week since the start of the crisis. A total of 16 orders have been in issued in August so far.
Since the escalation of hostilities, only about 11 per cent of the Gaza strip has not been placed under evacuation orders.
At least 50,000 children born in the past ten months of hostilities are highly unlikely to have received any immunizations, including polio vaccine, due to the collapsed health system, warn aid organizations and medical professionals.

The Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip once had a strong fishing industry and a vibrant hotel and restaurant scene. Through the lives of four Gazans, we map out the scale of the damage to the coastline and weigh if there is any hope of rebuilding these businesses once the current war is over.

Whenever I see children, I can't help but think of the children in Gaza -- and then I'm furious!
I know things will change. The west is losing on so many fronts. But I wish Israel would stop bombing Gaza, and that food and medical supplies could get in.
Thanks for posting, Najwan.
Sometimes I wonder about the term ‘dehumanization’ of the Palestinians. They are fully human and their humanity is beautiful to witness. Their humanity is not in question nor is it stripped from them by anyone or by any circumstances.
The humanity in question and that seems threadbare is that of apartheid Israel and all its supporters in western governments as they have revealed in their racist double standards.
