βRight. Certainly topics that were off the table, not open to discussion are on the table, at least in the United States. You know, I think, and Vance may have mentioned this specifically in his Munich speech, if you look at Britain and the censorship there, where you have people not being locked up.
I mean, this is the criticism that theyβre not being tough on these Muslim immigrants who have no intention whatsoever of integrating into British society. And instead of cracking down on that, instead of getting a handle on migration, which has really brought the labor government to a very low level of popularity, instead, youβre locking up people in Britain for tweets that others find offensive. Things that in the United States would have just complete First Amendment free speech protection.
If you look at France, opposition politicians have been essentially canceled for saying things that are considered not politically correct, not acceptable, or racially insensitive. And you have these societies that do not appear to have any confidence in themselves, which I would have described as the United States before Donald Trump was elected. People who are so focused on self-loathing, how theyβre supposedly inherently racist, a patriarchy, a racist, imperialist history.
And I think what Trump did and wants to do is cast that aside, and he wants Europe to do that too. Because for allies to have strength, I mean, look at Japan, look at the Gulf monarchies, for example. These are cultures, look at Russia.
These are cultures that have confidence in themselves. And I donβt think you see that in Europe. And the question is, are these people really our allies in a cultural sense?β

screaming at,
cloud speeching
π₯ Israel erased more than 2,700 Palestinian family bloodlines in the Gaza genocide
Al Jazeera English | Jan 26, 2026
While each individual death is a tragedy, the scale of generational loss in Gaza is hard to comprehend.
Over the past two years, Israeli air strikes during the war on Gaza have wiped more than 2,700 families from the civil registry. At least 40,000 families have been targeted, with some left with a single surviving member.
These killings are the result of sustained military operations that have destroyed entire households.
Palestinians say the erasure of family bloodlines strikes at the heart of their identity and existence. They argue this pattern reflects the very essence of genocide.

π₯ New TikTok US CEO bragged about speech controls
Middle East Eye | Jan 25, 2026
Old videos have emerged of Adam Presser, the newly appointed CEO of TikTok's joint US venture, discussing his moderation of pro-Palestine content at the World Jewish Congress in Jerusalem last year.
Presser said he's designated "Zionist" as a hateful term, using it to ban scores of accounts for hateful activity.
His position as CEO has spread fears among TikTok US users that pro-Palestine content on the app could be censored.

Taking centre stage is Josh Paul, former director of congressional and public affairs at the US Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. In 2023, Paul resigned in protest over the USβs role in enabling Israelβs war on Gaza. Since then, he has co-founded A New Policy, a political organisation pushing for change in US policy towards Palestine and Israel.
Paul discusses his resignation, whether Washington has learned anything and if the US is doomed to repeat its mistakes.

Hi Najwan,
I shared your last image on BlueSky, and credited the site. I hope that's OK with you.
Like you, so many people are seeing the connection between genocide and violence all over the world. Bloody sickening, isn't it?
I can't even listen to Netanyahu. Looking at him is bad enough.
All we can do is keep pounding away on our keyboards. Well, and we can boycott too, and wear our keffiyehs.
Take good care, my dear friend. Thanks for carrying on, even when it's so painful. I think I'm numb, and just stubborn. Keep writing, keep posting, keep hoping....
I hope you're having a good week so far, and that you get a good sleep tonight. Take good care, Najwan.
