“So among the thousands of names mentioned in the files, there’s two that had an outsized role, I would say, in shaping the past and the current contours of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And we’re talking about Mona Yule and Teria Rude-Larsen. Tell us who they are and what the files reveal about their connection to Epstein.
Well, I think what the files reveal is that Epstein clearly had his eye on the United Nations for quite some time. There’s one exchange between Epstein and Steve Bannon, where he’s urging Steve Bannon to come to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. And he refers to the UN General Assembly as the Super Bowl, you know, underscoring the importance of that annual UN gathering for his own networking goals as well.
The documents also revealed, by the way, that Epstein had somehow obtained confidential internal documents from the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in his communications. We know that one president of the UN General Assembly, Miroslav Lechak, who is the former president of the J, but also a former Slovak foreign minister, he was in regular correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, including while he was serving at the UN those years. He ultimately was compelled to resign out of a scandal around the Epstein releases.
But as you say, the most important UN revelation so far in the Epstein files relates to Mona Yule and Terry Rold Larson.
I talked to both Israeli negotiators and Palestinian negotiators, and eventually I came to the understanding that the way it was organized in Washington couldn’t possibly succeed.
This is a Norwegian husband and wife team who were the architects of the, I think I can say it, disastrous Oslo process. And it’s important because, you know, their close relations to Epstein and his role as kind of an Israeli asset is important because history shows that Oslo is effectively a diplomatic smokescreen.
The Oslo Accords were a series of agreements signed between 1993 and 1999 with a goal that aimed to see Israel withdraw from the territories it occupied. And so most Palestinians believe that the Accords would create an independent Palestinian state in the occupied territories alongside Israel. But that never happened.
It sidestepped international law. It devastated Palestinian rights for three decades. It consolidated Israel’s unlawful position in Palestine.
And these main architects of Oslo, Larson and Yule, they’re revealed in the files as having very close personal long-term relations with Epstein. Larson took substantial personal loans from Epstein. And the children of Larson and Yule were reported he left $10 million in Epstein’s will.
That’s unbelievable. Yeah. And Larson was briefly your boss at one point at the UN.
He was during my posting for two years in the 1990s in Gaza. He was the UN special coordinator, the senior envoy for Israel and Palestine.”

Five months after Israel’s High Court ruled that its prisons were failing to provide enough food for Palestinian detainees and ordered conditions be improved, emaciated prisoners are still emerging with tales of extreme hunger and abuse.
Samer Khawaireh, 45, told Reuters that all he was given to eat in Israel’s Megiddo and Nafha prisons, which both hold Palestinian security prisoners, was 10 thin pieces of bread over the course of a day, with a bit of hummus and tahini. Twice a week, he got some tuna.
Videos saved on Khawaireh’s phone show him at normal weight before he was detained in the northern West Bank city of Nablus last April, and clearly emaciated upon his release. He says he lost 22 kilograms (49 pounds) during nine months in prison, emerging a month ago covered in scabies sores, and so gaunt and disheveled his 9-year-old son Azadeen didn’t recognize him.

The Israeli Prison Service has begun preparations to introduce the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, Israeli media reported on Sunday.
According to Israel’s Channel 13, preparations include the creation of a facility dubbed “Israel’s Green Mile”, where executions will take place.
Training and procedural preparations have also started, while a delegation from the prison service is expected to visit an East Asian country to study the legal and regulatory framework for implementing capital punishment, the report added.
The move follows the Knesset’s approval of the death penalty bill in its first reading last year, with 39 MPs in favour and 16 against.
The bill must pass two further readings before becoming law.
The report added that executions will be carried out by hanging, with three guards pressing the trigger simultaneously.
Specialist teams, composed entirely of volunteers, will be assigned to the task.
An Israeli source told the channel that death sentences will be carried out within 90 days of the final verdict.
The law will initially target Palestinians accused of being members of Hamas’ Nukhba - its elite unit - who took part in the October 2023 attacks.
Those accused of serious attacks in the West Bank would follow.
The legislation would not apply to Jewish Israelis who kill Palestinians in similar circumstances.

How much rage, contempt and hatred is Israel creating towards itself right now, I wonder.
Capital punishment for people in an occupied territory who are being murdered, tortured and having their land destroyed every day, and it doesn't apply to those who are committing these crimes against Palestine? The starvation and torture of prisoners? The collusion with Epstein?
So many of us are disgusted and want this to stop so badly. And we want justice for Palestine and Palestinians too.
