Gazaβs Government Media Office called the shipment of unidentifiable bodies an βinhumane and criminal moveβ, in a separate statement.
Reporting from central Gazaβs Deir el-Balah, Al Jazeeraβs Tareq Abu Azzoum said βthe bodies are unidentifiable because they are mostly decomposedβ.
βThe Palestinian Health Ministry said that the Israeli military has deliberately concealed the identity of those Palestinian people. There is no information about their names, genders and the location they have been kidnapped from. The circumstances of their abduction from the Gaza Strip are also unclear,β he added.

At present, there are 793 movement obstacles which are permanently or intermittently controlling, restricting and monitoring Palestinian movement in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the H2 area of Hebron. OCHA has documented these obstacles, which include 89 checkpoints staffed 24/7; 149 partial checkpoints that are not always staffed (46 of which have gates); 158 earthmounds; 196 road gates (122 of which are usually closed); 104 road blocks; and 97 linear closures each of which blocks one or more roads, such as road barriers, earthwalls and trenches. OCHAβs last closure survey in June 2023 documented 642 obstacles. Sixty-five new obstacles were subsequently documented before October 2023, bringing the total number of obstacles to 707. Between October 2023 and March 2024, OCHA documented 86 additional obstacles, of which 37 are in the central West Bank, 30 in the northern West Bank and 19 in the southern West Bank. This constitutes a 23 per cent increase over nine months (793 vs. 642). Sixty-five per cent of the new obstacles since October 2023 are earthmounds andΒ partial checkpoints. Of the total number of obstacles, 26 per cent are in Hebron governorate, 18 per cent in Ramallah governorate, and 16 per cent in Nablus governorate.

This evening (25 September) at 6 pm EST, the Security Council is expected to hold a briefing under the agenda item βThe situation in the Middle Eastβ focused on the rapidly intensifying conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. French Foreign Minister Jean-NoΓ«l Barrot called for the emergency meeting during his 23 September address at the Summit of the Future. UN Secretary-General AntΓ³nio Guterres is expected to brief.
This will be the second Security Council meeting on the deteriorating situation in Lebanon in less than a week. It follows an urgent briefing last Friday (20 September) called by Algeria in the aftermath of a wave of attacks on 17 and 18 September which detonated thousands of Hezbollahβs electronic communication devices across Lebanon. Similar explosions were also reported in Syria on 17 September. The attacks have beenΒ widelyΒ attributedΒ to Israel, although it has not taken responsibility for the explosions.
Blinken -- I'd love to see him go, and his sidekicks too. They've been lying and making it possible to arm and fund Israel, which is a disgrace to humanity.
