Shukran Eissa, am coming across multiple things I wish to share, enough content to likely compose 2 posts, today & tomorrow, documentary may be pushed to then... But don't worry! everything noteworthy will be shared! (and to the eloquent Palestinian standards deserved π€)
Swimming is good! And you're a sea captain so that makes a whole lot of sense π€. Baba was a lifeguard in Beirut and taught all 3 of us how to swim from when we were itty bitty (basically the ol' throw 'em into a pool and they'll pick it up approach..) He used to make us swim every weekend, something like 20 laps length-wise (freestyle including fancy flip turn), different strokes too (butterfly, back) and then 2 laps underwater.. that was another one of his mandates.
Mama doesn't know how to swim, and there-go is very scared of water. Funny, he was talking to me this trip about wanting to go on a cruise (another one of his longstanding dreams), Mama akeed said no way jose, she has zero interest, and so Baba asked me. I've never been on a cruise either. We shall see what future brings... I do miss the ocean...
Shukran dear Najwan, I am confident that the next post will be of the same quality, importance and excellence like all your other works. I remember mentioning to you earlier that I do translate and share your posts with my people here and I am pleased to convey to you the love, admiration, appreciation and salute all of them have for you. On the swimming thing, I must say that your beloved dad gave you the best training ever known to mankind, throw them in the water and the will figure how to remain afloat and then swim, there is no better way than this, well done your beloved dad. On the cruise thing, I encourage you to do it whenever you can. I have been the captain of many large cruise vessels and I sailed those beautiful majestic ships all over the globe. I know what good cruise could do to oneβs soul. I promise you that if I survive this war I will extend an invitation to you and your beloved family to be my guests of honor onboard my ship and I will make sure that you get to experience the best cruise experience ever.
