Dozens of Palestinians are dead and more than 100 wounded in a spate of Israeli air strikes throughout the Gaza Strip as the carnage and destruction resumes.

At least 18 people – including women and children – have been killed in an attack on a UN school-turned-shelter in Nuseirat camp in central Gaza Strip.

The United Nation’s Palestinian refugee agency says six of its staffers were killed in two Israeli air raids on central Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp – the “highest death toll among our staff in single incident” during the war.

• Killed: at least 41,020 people, including nearly 16,500 children

• Injured: more than 94,925 people

• Missing: more than 10,000

The latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the occupied West Bank are as follows:

• Killed: at least 692 people, including more than 159 children

• Injured: more than 5,700 people

In Israel, officials revised the death toll from the October 7 attacks down from 1,405 to 1,139.

I got to a point where I questioned myself, “Are we entirely sure Israel understands the definition of ‘moral’?” I mean sure they use it abundantly… but! maybe they think the adjective means something else? An innocent fumble lost-in-translation type thing…? Or no, no, that doesn’t sound quite right… I think the more ‘plausible’ explanation is this is just part of their propaganda thing… their lying thing… their stealing thing… their exterminating our whole people thing… That makes much more sense no? All that evidence chronicled for 11 months and counting… You know what I mean… And yet somehow, they say it, we nod little heads in passive agreement, and then… what…exactly…?

“Over the weekend, OCHA – along with UNRWA and other humanitarian partners – began assessing the needs of Palestinians impacted by the operation. OCHA reports that more than 620 people – over a third of them children – remain displaced. As of Sunday, 2,400 housing units have been damaged, with more than 100 rendered uninhabitable.

In the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, more than 2.6 kilometres of water and sewage networks were bulldozed during the operation, severely hindering the delivery of essential services. OCHA reports that more than 33,000 residents have been coping with water cuts and sewage flooding over the past two weeks.

In the Kafr Dan, in the Jenin Refugee Camp, and in eastern Jenin, about 70 per cent of the city’s roads and underlying water and sewage networks were bulldozed during the operation – cutting drinking water for about 35,000 residents of those areas and creating sewage flooding problems.”
