I agree, Najwan. If we can't get this right, we as humanity have failed hugely. There is absolutely nothing great about committing genocide, supporting genocide or standing by and allowing it to happen without any kind of resistance.
Feels like we're living in a bad dream, wanting to wake up to a sane and just world. The madness just goes on and on. Doomsday. Nuclear Threat. End of the World.
Chris Hedges has to be the leading critic of US policies today. He is accurate in pointing out that Sanders never criticizes the military state which questions not only what it means to be "the left" in the US but also the meaning of other problems- climate, housing, poverty, nutrition, medicare, police, incarceration, nuclear brinksmanship- for the unheard disenfranchised to our corporate purchased electeds who as we saw with the Columbia protests buy the police to break heads in support of genocide.
"do you not see? beyond the script?"
Those words really struck me, Najwan.
If genocide hasn't broken the spell so many are under, what on earth will?
βWhat on earth will?β
I could not fathom,
a more righteous ask,

I am deflated (a little tonight) that this is a forced landmark of humanity (in its glorious abundance) in year 2024.
You (world) can keep all your technological advancements and curated greatness.
We have failed, the ultimate test, of why man is, human-kindβ¦

Shukran for sharing this amazing work.
Stay strong.
You are the stronger of us two, dear Captain Eissa. And for you, to wish me strength, is a testament, to yours in spade..
I will always find the words to write for you, and Falastin. May she one day, be utmost, and absolute free, inshallah π
