Hi Najwan,

I love the last video you shared. My Dad and my Mom's parents immigrated to Canada, and I've lost their languages because they were shamed -- not English. And I feel like there's a part of me missing.

And now, looking at what the west supports, why would anyone want to be part of this stinking culture? Yes, there are some good people, but so much of it makes me sick, especially the complicity in genocide, the lying about the reasons for all its wars, and its conceit.

As usual, I wish so much for the killing to stop.

Safe travels next week, and I hope you're having a relaxing Sunday, Najwan.ā™„ļøšŸ‰šŸ™šŸ¼

Aww shukran Diana. I know what you mean, thereā€™s a part of our soul and identity thatā€™s always missing. For me I personally always had this gnawing feeling of always being an outsider, no matter what country or continent I reside in. And I feel in all this solo researching of Falastin this year, am understanding more so, where my heart actually lies. And sadly too, where it also currently diesā€¦

I wish so hard like you this stops right effin now. I desperately want their pain to stop. And I canā€™t fathom the logic of any of this war-mongering war-fare war-made up bullshitā€¦

Am going to go to a comedy show tonight, Sammy Obeid, Palestinian-American. Will inshallah share about that in tomorrowā€™s words, just wanted to ensure I wrote before I got too tired to do so later.

Hope your weekendā€™s been well overall ā™„ļø

I feel some of that outsider-ness too, Najwan. And with all the lies being told and atrocities committed, I'm happy to feel some distance from what is so rotten. I hope we who feel this sense of exclusion can get in touch with some strength in our roots instead of shame.

Glad to hear you're going to a comedy show tonight. It sounds like just what you need.

So far, my weekend's going well: went into Nelson yesterday and will go to choir practice soon, which is always fun. Singing is therapeutic for me: must be my Welsh roots on my Mom's side.
