I was fortunate to know him closely; he was like a brother to me, and his departure broke my heart. I was with him at his funeral "Janazah" and asked him to wait for me at heaven's gates. When I visited his grave, I read some words that I had written to him. I hope you don't mind if I share some of those with you,
"Brother Refaat, in heavens' grand embrace,
Where martyrs are blessed and find eternal grace.
Oh, noble brother, your memory we keep,
In the quiet moments, when others may sleep.
So, farewell, dear brother, for now, we part,
But in our souls, you remain, never to depart.
